It is now officially summer. With this milestone date the heat has come too. Huge heat wave expected for the next few days. Went out to weed early in the morning on Saturday and could only work a few hours before the heat got to me. Got most of the oval garden weeded. Took out the dead the lavender and will replace with new plants later one. The assorted lily bulbs I planted have lots of buds really to open and only one (so far) that are showing flowers. Some of the day lilies have new shoots showing buds but no blossoms yet. The daffodils have all died off so I can clean up the dried that is left. Miniature Roses have a couple of blossoms showing red. Lots of new growth and clumps that will need to get moved of the cone flowers. That damn sticky willie is still around in spots.
