Spent time and energy getting all of the dead leaves out of the ditch and uncovering the flowers that were covered with leaves for protection. Had a truckload of fresh mulch delivered and dumped near the compost bin.
Ended up getting massive case of poison ivy and sticky willy rash. Serious enough that I had to go to the Doctor to get a script of prednisone to deal with the amount of rash and blisters that came as a result.
Will have to remember that I should never clean the front ditch since it seems to have lots of the oils from Poison Ivy plants that are across the road. No visible plants to be a warning. Had the same reaction when I did the ditch in 2024. Sticky willy has been pulled from around the compost bin and from the round flower garden.
Itch,Itch, Itch. I ordered a pair of elbow length gardening gloves to keep my arms from coming in contact with that stuff. Keeping the anti-itch creams and lotion manufacturers in business.
